I wouldn't worry about that too much.įinally, like everything else, at some point a headset will need maintenance. Everything else will likely just keep working. When an ANR headset fails, the most likely component failing is the ANR. Also buy an old, good-brand one without ANR for cheap on eBay as a spare. You should have a couple of headsets anyway, just to have a spare. I bought a "used" ANR Sennheiser Airbus-standards headset on eBay that was basically mint new with boxes and manuals, for less than $200 and it was the absolute deal of the century. You limit risk via higher scrutiny (look at the picture, check for return policy, look at the seller's reputation and reasons for selling, etc.)
